Well, does anyone have experience with it?
I'm 26, hair on top of my head started going away in my late teens. Now, it's getting so thin on top I have the option of going full bald in the next couple years, or trying Rogaine. |

It doesn't really work very well. If you use it, you need to be consistent, and pair it with some other work/hormone therapy, or bosley type stuff etc. I started thinning in high school. tried minoxidil (rogaine) for a few years, and finally shaved my head at 25 and was the best thing I ever did. I don't worry about how my hair looks when it's windy, or when im swimming, or after I take my hat off, etc. (balding guys know what I'm talking about)
If you are not ready for full bald yet, get a wahl clipper and buzz it at 3 or 2 for a while. It looks better than having length on it to 'cover up' your thinning spots. you are not tricking anyone. Gillette mach 3 razor and a shave cream like headslick. |

Each time, it looks thinner and thinner up top, but sides don't thin out. Maybe I should go for a hella old school monk style haircut. |

I'll shave it off before I even think of a comb over. |

Yes, it does. It worked for me at least.
I quit using it as I was too lazy to apply it twice a day though. I'm 35, married with three kids and decided it wasn't worth it long term to keep at it. If you want, IM me and I'll drop my unopened unused Costco Kirkland knockoff bottles into the mail for you. I went and looked and I've got 4 brand new bottles (4 month supply) laying around, expiration date of 2/15. Four months should be long enough to know if it's going to work for you. |

That would be a witty and incite full statement, except it does work, and the mechanics of why it works are known. Quoted:

If it worked do you really believe there would be bald men around? This, they wouldn't sell a shitload of it if it didn't produce results for many men. For me, it didn't give me the head of hair I had when I was 18, but it did have a noticable effect and regrew a suprising amount of hair. You have to commit long term though, as when you quit using it you start to loose ground again. The only other downside is having to apply it twice a day and always having the remaining crud in your hair. ETA: But at least you HAVE the cruddy hair.
