They make good shit (or at least I think they still do). I haven't bought anything from them since Patrick Ma left.

ETA: I have owned several Fastpacks, a Litespeed, several Ranger hoodies, and various softshells from TAD.

Quality gear, backed with a great warranty.

I have a fast pack, that has been worth every penny.

I don't know what the situation is/was, but I looked him up and really dig some of his work.

I've been wanting some of their stuff for several years now, and have either never been able to afford it, or they never have what I wanted in stock.

Here is a nice write up of some of their stuff.

http://www.militarymorons.com/gear/fleece.2.html

Just be aware that for whatever reason, they seem to be making most of their stuff in what they call an "active fit", which seems to be a very slim, snug (seattle hipster) fit.   I just received their praetorian hoodie in a size medium, (I am 5'9', 190 lbs, 33-34 inch waist)  and by all accounts I SHOULD take a size medium, but this thing is snug.

Wearing it over a t-shirt, or a thin  (and I mean thin) base layer it fits great and I have no issues.  However wear it over something like a long sleeve button down shirt and it fits pretty damn snug but is still wearable..I think I can make it work, as I am still in the process of losing weight so in another month or so it should fit better.   Afraid that if I go to a large size there would be too much material out front.

I have a Litespeed pack - it is decent, but I wouldn't place the quality of construction above any mainstream pack by Gregory, Osprey, Arc'Teryx or others.

I do think the pack is way too heavy for what it is, and some aspects of the design just don't make any sense at all ("load-lifter" straps on the shoulder straps that are not positioned anywhere that would be of use and just get in the way).

I do like it, I take it on airplanes as a carry-on and use it for my overnight on-call bag, but if I'm going to do anything outside I grab my Gregory z-pack as it carries loads better and is much lighter.

I am roughly the same size as the dude who wrote that. I am not delusional enough to buy Medium size non-athletic/hipster cut attire. To buy shit designed in the PNW of all places, and not expect it to be too tight for a normal guy is
