TLDR: Author advocates use pistols and a friggin century arms Uzi clone. AR-15 and AK-47 are for static defense and not concealable. I guess he has never heard of take down pins.

Lame.  It is clearly an article selling a particular gun.

If all I want is pistol calibers, I'll stick to my G19 + Sub2000 combo.

It weighs several pounds less than that getup, and I can get the carbine into the fight without assembly required...

I'll stick to having an AR in the trunk.

1.  I spend 90+% of mu time in one state, and 99+% of my time in 2 ztates.  Both allow sbr's.  What CA allows doesnt factor into mu puchase decisions.

2.  The way i would configure a pistol would probably violate the laws of 50% of the states thT prohibit sbr's.

Just observing.

And there really is no comparison between a rifle round and a pistol round.  If you're going with a pistol round, you may as well take full advantage of the suppressor capability.

Wasn't there a member that lived through a recent govt or national financial collapse or something?

I believe his information did say that pistols were of more use for day to day living through a total collapse.

Why the fuck would I want an 8lb pistol with a 16" barrel?  The author was within the realm of mediocre internet journalism right up until that point.

Yes FerFAL and the financial collapse in Argentina while bad was hardly SHTF end of the world stuff. Pistol are good at one thing only, concealability.

It went right over you head to let me explain. Some states don't allow transport of a loaded rifle but you have a pistol with round chambered in your car because concealed carry laws.
SBR = rifle      Pistol is a pistol.
