| I did a fair amount of snipe hunting when I was a kid in the boy scouts. Great fun! Anyone know a good spot to snipe hunt these days? Boy I'd love to bag some snipes this Fall! |

And just how the fuck do you think this is going to play out ON THE FUCKING INTERNET? Do you think we're all going to pack up and meet you somewhere for a snipe hunt? This is fucking retarded. This is the funniest post I've seen in years. You are the King of Smackdown. |

Hunting
Camouflage may enable snipe to remain undetected by hunters in marshland. If the snipe flies, hunters have difficulty estimating a correct aiming lead for the bird's erratic flight pattern. The difficulties involved in hunting snipe gave rise to the term “sniper”, referring to a skilled anti-personnel military sharpshooter. "Going on a snipe hunt" is a phrase suggesting a fool's errand, or an impossible task. It is often used as a practical joke upon campers, and those unfamiliar with hunting, by those more experienced Per Wiki |
I went Snipe hunting as a kid with my pops. It's a real thing. Just not easy.

To say that I was the victim of a practical joke totally diminishes my personal snipe hunting experience. You are hereby banned from my Snipe thread. Go away, just go away! |

When I was in Webelos, they really sold snipe hunting on our first weekend camping trip. I actually believed it up until some of the Boy Scouts along for the trip with us tried to convince me of the "bicentennial snipe" with red, white, and blue feathers on it's chest. ...at that point it fell away like Santa Clause. |
