I'm curious. Did SB23 ban the use of full capacity magazines? Or can you still own/use what you had before the new law went into effect? Thanks, I was just curious. Rob |

Quoted: I'm curious. Did SB23 ban the use of full capacity magazines? No. ...Or can you still own/use what you had before the new law went into effect? Yes. It bans Californistani from manufacturing, importing (into Cali), or transferring them to another person in Cali. You can still buy magazine repair parts including bodies, floor plates, followers, and springs mail order. Assembling them into a complete magazine would be illegal. [ROFL2] Unless you got caught bringing a case of them in from Phoenix and had a receipt showing that you had just bought them in the Zone, there is no way to enforce the ban on importing them. [ROFL] Of course I bought all of MINE before the ban. [wave] |

Quoted: CA can't enforce the hi-cap mag ban. I hate to say this, but many go out of state to buy and bring back in. [red]Vendors in neighboring states routinely ask for ID to avoid sales to CA residents.[/red] That's sad. CA can't enforce the high-cap mag ban inside CA borders, much less in neighboring states. But some numbnut chicken shits take it upon themselves to suck up to CA bullshit laws. Why? Are they scared the CA mag police are going to come after them? Sometimes gun folks are their own worst enemies. [rolleyes] |

No law prohibits a CA resident from buying a standard-capacity magazine in another state (e.g. AZ) and keeping it there. Any vendor who declines to sell a magazine to a CA resident is a DAMN FOOL! |
| OT: Just as a side-note, we can possess the >10rd mags, but you can't transfer it to another person, say for instance selling the gun. BUT, IF you have a gun that has >10rnd mags; but there no 10rd mags available, you can't legally transfer it in Calif. For example, for those that have the older Star Model 30/31 you can only sell it out of state. |
