"Wrong" how?  They are vermin and need to be thinned (can't be eradicated) by any means available.  Shooting would have gotten ONE.  You have a better idea?

Where I come from, we eat hogs.

Aside from roving gangs of javelinas (spelling) in the desert, I've never heard of pigs being vermin.

That was the best use of tannerite I have ever seen. Wish it had slo-mo and an AAR of piggy bits. kill count would be nice.

Where I come from, they tear the living shit out of everything they come across.

They erode entire fields and hills, they destroy crops and top soil, they cause nothing but trouble.

Eradicate with extreme prejudice.

Nope, not Texas much, Michigan.

Actually in El Paso right now for work, but haven't left the base except to go to the hotel.

So this is the Texas equivalent of me blowing up raccoons?

Carry on. I always thought ya'll ate the things when you went hog hunting.

I don't see the point. If I'm going to enjoy killing, it wouldn't be a pig.

Feral hogs are a huge problem.  They destroy farmland at an astonishing rate and present a very real, physical danger to people.

The rule in the south is to kill em all. Fish cops are fining people for not killing them.

In the southern US feral hogs are a major problem and they can be hunted like vermin or nuisance animals.

No.

I can't believe that a fucking god damned vegetarian has to lecture somebody on the destructiveness of feral hogs, and why they should be dispatched post haste.

Vegetarians are the perfect people to lecture the point, the hog are in direct competition for food

And even if the vegetarians wouldn't eat the hogs, the hogs would surely eat them!

Recockulously ignorant.  Google up some research and see how much damage feral pigs do, how they breed, and educate yourself.

Javelinas are not pigs.

BTW:  I have a pork butt marinating in some very nice cider brine for the smoker.  I eat them too, but I am well educated on the feral pig issue and how out of control the infestations tend to be.
