I watch it all the time.
I believe that people should be able to marry whatever the fuck they want, that we shouldn't jump into ever war that invites us, that government is a necessary evil and that God should be totally separate from the government. I don't actually believe there is irrefutable evidence man caused this particular round of climate change, I don't believe women and blacks are oppressed, I don't thing white men have magical privileged advantages, in fact I think they get pretty fucked over lately by social justice warriors. Finally, I don't believe guns kill people anymore than I believe cars drive themselves around. The exceptions would be automated turrets(like Bulletstorm <3) and the Google car. Fuck you John Cleese, you liberal prick. Kiss my gun totin' hillbilly ass. |

Cleese is a self-important gas bag. I'm a huge Monty Python fan and I've memorized practically every sketch because it's funny shit. Their politics, on the other hand, are simply appalling...and if there was ever a blatant example of Dunning-Kruger it's in 1600 Pennsylvania right now. If Cleese was being sensible he'd point out the flaws that exist in government full stop, not simply try to paint the side he doesn't care for as being the idiots while painting himself as the enlightened. He's guilty of the very thing he's making accusations over and he's so willfully blind he doesn't even realize the howlingly obvious flaws in his own writing. Genuine intellectual rigor would lead one to question the qualifications of government as an enterprise, full stop...not to simply question one part of the political spectrum. |

Had a long drive the other day, and listened to the bbc radio program.
They had an interview with a british politician about the scottish independence referendum. The questions were intelligent, the answers were intelligent. They delved deeper amd deeper for a couple minutes and I thought to myself, "Our media sucks. Our soundbyte fornat sucks. This bbc interview is way longer and deeper than ours." Then.... The it continued for several minutes more, going even deeper. |

FWIW, I can't watch most of Fox news. The program they do in the evening with Brett Bair is ok, but the rest I just can't stomach. And something about Sean Hannity makes my skin crawl.
...but I feel pretty much the same way about most news shows, and I'm under no illusion that somehow Fox is a worse media outlet than any other. |
