Hey I have a  noveske  N4 14.5" carbine that  is giving me some trouble. The upper was bought used but barely and I made a couple of changes, I added a brand new noveske bcg,and switched out the fsb for a lo pro noveske gas block and nsr rail., and had a kx5 permanently pinned. The lower is a gen 2 receiver with a geissele sd-c , carbine buffer spring, h buffer. Here the problem, shooting 55 gr american eagle .223 it would not pick up the next round but the trigger would reset, it did this starting from the start of the mag, I then switched to 55 and 62 gr federal 5.56 and had it only FTF two times but would not lock back the bcg two different times. I made sure to oil up the new bcg. Other then that it was very accurate.

Sounds like its under gassed.

Your gas block may not be lined up right.

You think maybe  the gas block is slightly off?

That or the hole on the new base is slightly small.

Yeah I put the unused ae .223 in a new mk18 and it ran fine, when I removed the gas tube I can stick a bent paper clip down the gas block into the barrel gas port and see it through the front of the barrel. So it might just be slighty off?

It's getting gas, just not enough. A little off to the side, or forward would do it. The rifle is acting like a rifle with an adjustable gas block that
you turn down until it doesn't function properly, before you open it back up.

Thanks for the help, any method of perfectly aligning it? Also would switching to a carbine buffer help?
