They are a crazy band.  Every album is very different, and songs can range from softer melodic rock to heavy southern style rock n roll, to really heavy metalish stuff. Vocalist has some "interesting" lyrics here and there.  Lots of dark fairy tale type stuff.  Here's something a little more traditional from the same album.

These guys always end up topping my favorite bands list.  They mix it up well and are somewhat atypical and different.
