I had one when I lived in Wisconsin (and still have the card), a year ago I moved to MN and became a resident in the dark land. Now I'm moving back to WI in a month and a half. Is my CCW permit still good since I was not a resident of WI for the last year?

They are generally issued with an expiration date, for example Alaska was a 5 year permit, Idaho is also a 5 year permit.

I recommend clarifying with the state. I think a resident permit becomes invalid when you're no longer a resident. I could be wrong, and hope I am.

WI licenses also expire after 5 years.  Your name and address is on the front of the card, and on the back it states that you must notify the DOJ of any address changes no later than 30 days after your address change.   Are you moving back to the same address on your card?   I tried to find info in stat.,sec 175.60, but didn't find anything specific to your question.   You're best bet would be to contact the DOJ.  I would think your card would become invalid after you  have given up your residency  in WI. and moved to another state.
