Ok what do we think about this little 9x18 polish pistol?

I have it loaded in my cart and haven't bought any new guns in while so got the urge to buy

Poor mans Walther PPK?

It's snappy, heavy for size, heavy DA pull. I had one and liked it a lot but traded it off not to long ago because it just sat in the safe.

It's truly a collector's gun and doesn't do any one thing well.

Don't buy it. Trigger fucking sucks. Double action trigger is like 50 lbs or some shit.

"Oh but I can buy Wolff springs and it fixes the trigger"

FALSE.

Buy Wolff springs to make the double action trigger usable but the single action will be as fragile as a glass dildo.

Useless gun. Buy a CZ82 instead.

Looks like a nice piece, but I dislike slide mounted safeties. CZ 82 is the best com bloc pistol IMO.

Yep, it has the superior 1911 style safety

Have one and like it !!! Very accurate, as said before change out springs for better double action and single is kinda scary light Very slim and easily concealable for CCW. Paid 135 bucks when they became C&R eligible

Just picked up new ZEE grips like the ODG and black ones in the pic but in reverse color. He can do any combination of colors.

A lot of guys bitch about these triggers in DA. Honestly, while it's heavy it's seriously not that bad. The SA is actually decent. I haven't had a problem with it cutting my hand with the slide like I have with the FEG AP-MBP.

Nice little pistol, but it does buck a bit. DA pull is pretty stiff on mine, while SA is really light. Wolff springs are (or were) available.

Tis overrated crap...  It does have a cool operating system though.

The spring swap for the Wolff spring kit helps the DA trigger pull, but only by so much.  Takes it from 18 pounds down to maybe 12.

Accuracy is okay, but the sights are unforgivably tiny and bad, so "accurate" is a relative thing to how good the lighting is at the time.

Recoil is... assertive, and the frame digs into your hand.  For a lot of people, at least.  You're not going to want to shoot more than a box your first day at the range, and if you have literally any other pistol, you probably won't shoot it again.

But it does work, and you can carry and use it for self defense.  Size is about right, perhaps on the uppermost limits of a true pocket pistol, but it's heavy.  The LCP is a far better and more practical pocket gun, if that's what you're looking for.

As a C&R, it has a lot of value, especially if you have some desire to "Catch 'em All."  They are interesting and neat to play with, and they're not junk by any means, just...  unrefined.  It's a 50-year-old service pistol for Eastern European cops.  So...  you know.

I'm not getting rid of mine, but I also don't shoot it either.  Take that for what you will.

Yes, could have been a freak, but between this, the rep of broken firing pins and your palm setting the safety (when the detent spring weakens), I'd recommend the weaker P64 or MAK any day. Unless you are a collector, IMO commercial pistols are generally a better choice than milsurp.   Unlike milsurp rifles, pistols generally have a commercial equivalent.

One of the reasons I never got the -52 was the fragile fp. Are the newer -53 .380's plagued with this problem?

I like mine.  DA pull sucks, but really nice SA pull.  Accurate for what it is. I pocket carry it sometimes, it's kind of heavy, but does the job.

I sure wouldn't shoot more than a box of ammo through it at a time though.

I got mine it very cheap.  The trigger was horrible and it was heavy.

I traded it for a snub nose SS Rossi revolver in .38 special.  No regrets here.
