Seen this on another site and think this is a great way to go to get more good people involved.http://bearingarms.com/nra-good-guys-campaign-launches-values-war/?utm_source=bafbp&utm_medium=fbpage&utm_campaign=baupdate |

If only it could be a Superbowl ad. Yeah, that's going to happen. This message is (somehow) racist, bigoted, prejudice is some form or another, probably sexist, and outright anti-American. Why? Because it's not the liberal message, and anything but is at a minimum ideologically incorrect, and at worst....criminal. |

I've seen two so far and thought, "About time!" I was at an NRA/ Republican political fund raiser about ten years ago, with about 100 people in attendance. When it was time for questions I said that everyone in the room essentially looked like me, i.e. a middle aged white man. Then I asked the NRA spokesman, "What is the NRA's answer to reaching out to minorities and women?"
His response was, "If you come up with one, please let us know."
Looks like these are a great way to address that problem head on. PS: I'm a Life Member, just haven't faxed my creds to get the eagle. |

Quoted: So, they're branching out from their single issue huh? I guess they've decided to side exclusively with conservatives, and alienate any liberal gun owners. OK. No, it seems they are just not siding with the FSA. There are good people on both sides, believe it or not, that are tired of the bullshit that's going on in this country. Your never going to attract hard core libs no matter what so "What difference does it make"if they are trying to sway fence sitters that are as fed up as I am, and I'm not just talking gun rights. |

If a liberal votes democrat, then they are eroding gun rights. Republicans are pro-gun, Democrats are anti-gun. Its that simple. Liberals vote for people who put liberals on the supreme court and in federal courts. where these unelected judges pass laws from the bench. oh no! Where will the NRA be without liberal gun owners? Yeah, there are going to lose like 3 members over that. How many will they gain? |
|
Would rather they draw attention to the fact that we almost lost our right to keep and bear arms in common usage throughout the United States of America. That almost 100 million Americans were punished by the Democrats for the act of a few nut jobs.
Instead they're doing a values campaign...ok. |

Quoted: So, they're branching out from their single issue huh? I guess they've decided to side exclusively with conservatives, and alienate any liberal gun owners. OK. Not a bad strategy when you consider that most liberal gun owners will vote for candidates that are toxic to their 2A rights anyway. There are millions of democrats in this country who vote that way for no other reason than their parents voted that way and they don't pay enough attention to the events (not the "news", the events) to understand that their party is NOT the same party their parents voted for half a century ago.

They will still vote for someone knowing full well they want to take their guns away. Like somehow they are more special and will be overlooked in the grabbing process.

Interesting. Got the whole us vs. them class thing going on. working class and welfare class. pretty much. the later isn't much for the NRA anyway. Didn't see any reference to the welfare class. Leisure over work (picture of Vegas) Our most valued citizens are entertainers and celebs. No spotlight for the hard working individual For the future of our country we should demand it (spotlight for the average joe instead of the celebrity) I get the emotion they are tapping into, but I have no idea what it is "selling". (Just an honest assessment, they needed to change things up and I'm glad they did) |
