I wonder is he trained them one at first and added the others one by one? Quoted:

That is an excellently trained pack. I know a guy who runs a fantastic training school in town. I think they have 7. He works them all individually, and then starts adding them together one at a time for things like this. |

I have tried like hell to get my GSD stay as I would walk away, no luck so far. Start small. Couple steps at a time. Work it up from there. My GSD will stay if I'm in eyesight, my papillon mix has problems once I get about 15 yards away. My goal for him is 20 yards by end of the year. |

Amazing. No leashes. I was worried when I saw the cop car to the left around 3:28.
Imagine someone complaining that they were not leashed. Although the leash issue also seems to mention being under the control of the person and those dogs were clearly under control. |

Quoted: It's simply the best I've ever seen, hands down. OP, you are a wizard (and those dags must love you something crazy). Just outstanding. My hat off to you, Sir.(assuming those are yours) Quoted: Quoted: That is an excellently trained pack. It's simply the best I've ever seen, hands down. That's shock collars at work, not impressed. No, that's a responsible owner. Even in a fenced in yard, I have a remote collar on my GSD, it helps a lot when training a dog to be consistent if you don't have a leash on them. I guarantee the shock collars are there in place of the leash. If a dog was to do something that would warrant a leash correction, the handler still has a means of correcting the dog. IMO, it's stupid to do off leash work in public and NOT have a remote collar on the dog. Ever notice how police K9's always have one on? |

Am I misreading the dogs' body language or do they all appear cowed, afraid? They all slink along with thier tails down, heads down, and don't seem to be enjoying the walk at all. |

Pack behavior is what it looks like. So they must be around Worchester, (Wooster), Mass |

Although the leash issue also seems to mention being under the control of the person and those dogs were clearly under control. I had a Rottweiler that would walk with me like that. Never a problem other than the fact that I got stopped like six times by the dog catcher for not having him on a leash. It's the law you know ? I walked him several miles a day, from my house, to the park, around the park, and back home. The park was right across the street from dog catcher HQ. He basically spoke English. I would tell him to do something like I was talking to a person and he would do it. I did make an effort to train him but I think more than anything it was because he was with me all the time. I even took him to work. I was taking him for his walk one day. I went out on the front porch and told him to sit. And I turned my back to do something. I heard this hissing sound. I turned around and the mailman was pepper spraying him. He never moved before or after the pepper spray. I said, hey ! why are you doing that ? My baby didn't do nufin. He said, with dogs like that we don't take chances.
I said, well you see how effective that was. He didn't even care that you did it. The dog was bitter about me hosing him off to get the pepper spray off because it was delaying the walk. |

Walk over there and shove the op and see how cowed/afraid they are...... Side note, i've been working with my czech for about a year now and I feel she would behave the same way these gsds do. Not going to try it just yet, she needs a little more work when it comes to busy public places, and she would definitely have a remote collar. She does NOT like other small dogs, lol. Edit: forgot the pic. http://i736.photobucket.com/albums/xx6/40oz75/IMG_4112.jpg Quoted:

I kept waiting for him to point at someone and yell a command I think I would shit my pants if they all came after me.
Bet that guy feels like a damn warlord walking around like that Honestly it probably would be a little intimidating walking down the sidewalk towards that. |
