Some people don't know how to do this correctly, I see people doing it all different ways. I'm not sure if this is the Italian American way to do it or what, but it's by far the best way.
Oil or butter in pan on medium high heat. Break a whole egg directly into pan. Immediately break the yoke and let it go where it wants to, do NOT stir it up. Let the egg cook for a very short period of time, soft and bit liquidy on top is preferred. Do NOT flip the egg over. Slide egg onto sandwich of choice. Enjoy. You're welcome. |

Quoted: At least someone knows how it's done. Sheesh. Quoted: Quoted: Wrong. Butter or bacon grease in the pan, high heat, don't break the yolk, flip. Yolk should be the consistency of warm butter when you cut into it, and the edges of the white should be slightly crispy. At least someone knows how it's done. Sheesh. Regardless of, on a sandwich or plate. |

14ers can't even fry eggs properly. It must be depressing knowing you couldn't even get a job as a short order cook in a truck-stop diner. ![]() That's the thing, I could cook eggs any style you want. I just know the best way to cook them and I'm not afraid to post it |

Correct, that is the only acceptable way to cook a fried egg. Any other is simply heresy. |

Although it is offensive to Islam, we cook our eggs in bacon grease at my house. There is so much that seems to offend islam, that I quit worrying about it. They don't seem to give a Shiite what offends us, so why should we care what offends them. When they come around to mutual respect, then we will have a starting point. |

Well aren't you just the special little cupcake. Your egg recipe sucks. May as well scramble the damn thing. Quoted:

I feel so bad for you guys. Hell, I'm sure half of you don't know what a good bagel is, or taylor ham, or good pastrami. Well aren't you just the special little cupcake. Your egg recipe sucks. May as well scramble the damn thing. No way, scrambling it tastes completely different. |

Best breakfast sammiches...
1. Fry a pound of thick cut pepper bacon 2. Crack an egg into the grease 3. Break the yolk, filp 4. Butter two pieces of your favorite bread 5. Put peanut butter on what will be the inside of one slice 6. Construct a sammich with butter facing out Bread - butter out Cheese Bacon Egg Bread - peanut butter in - butter out 7. Pour off a little grease from the pan 8. Fry that badboy in the remaining bacon grease like a normal grilled cheese Enjoy with a Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat (still convinced they didn't go with Sunrise Wheat due to PC BS). |

Agree but will add egg must be farm fresh. Never from a grocery store. |
