[ARCHIVED THREAD] - .max files?

What is used to open this file extension?
Someone I sort of know just sent it to me saying its a picture...

.max comes up in my list as a Paperport file.

Now can anyone help me with network connections in Windows NT?

My first scanner used Paperport files. The software/hardware company is Visioneer.
