Just saw footage and heard audio of the event when the candiands were bombed. Seemed like it was start to finish from when the pilots first reported seeing tracers being fired into the air near them to after they dropped the bomb. They WERE told by AWACS control not to fire but when the pilot told control he was rolling in control said "Bossman copies" Sounds like control was leaving it up to the pilots judgement as he didnt say hold fire again. |
