Hmmm, didn't know you could build a mac. Is the only thing mac about it the OS? Yeah, so Apple charges like 2x to 3x for the same hardware because it's the "closed source" hardware of the computer world. I mean....looking hip at Starbucks isn't free, gnomesayin? |

Never froze or just shut off. You're right, they just work and work and work. Just for the hell of it, I may buy another soon. |

Needs more memory. I can play all of the new games I have on 8GB of ram on maximum settings for the most part. Unless you have very specific, ram intensive uses, 8GB is enough ram for now. I can run 32GB if necessary in the future, could only afford 8 for now. OP should be fine, but I know most game specs list higher ram minimum requirements for macs. |

I have been in computers and MacIntosh computers with AVID TV editing software since 1993.
In that time I did have two systems identical systems on WY2K and Win7 whilst at the same on comparably MacIntosh systems. I know which systems were more stable and which systems are more logical. OMMD. Bill |

Horse motherfucking pile of god damn bull fucking shit stupid I've spent an insane number of hours working on bugs that only exist on macs because some jack off at apple got up one morning and said "hey, let's rip out a major underlying part of the OS just for fun". It doesn't "just work". It takes a butt load of time to get shit to work on that gawd awful crappy excuse for a computer. |

My main experience with a mac was trying to get my idiot boss's music onto his ipod. You would think that because theyre both apple products it would be simple, but everything had to be a playlist. He couldn't just take song's from a usb drive and put them on there. He wound up buying a generic mp3 player and dragging and dropping the files onto it from a pc. |

The only "need" I've found for a VM is to keep my regular internet connection available when I'm on the VPN for work. I can use the built-in VPN client fine but then I can't surf and work. Well, I suppose there is the occasional time I decide to run ArcGIS but what are you gonna do when a vendor only provides a Windows version? |

I have the same problem on a windows machine. It's not a MAC specific issue. You're talking about when you connect to the VPN, you can't surf the internet right? Yea it's the firewall that's causing the problem. |

I average 1-3 new macs per year. In all that time, I've had one failed mother board (it was 8 years old) and 2 bad hard drives. Everything has worked well for me. |

I have my doubts on that working, like you said. |
