Not to derail your thread but I just saw a sweet power rack at my local academy sports. It was sturdy lookin and painted gray. Had rods extruding off the bottom so you could attach bands to your bar.
Nice pull-up bar with different grip angles. If I didn't already have a rack I'd seriously look at that one. ETA: its almost double the cost of the one your posted on from Titan. Sorry-just looked over yours. I'm sure yours would be adequate for home use. |

You are not going to get a quality squat rack for < $300 and weighing 107#. Sorry. I know its not going to be top of the line, but I actually went off weight. Several other racks that look a lot nicer and cost a few hundred dollars more weighed a lot less under a hundred. So I figured the extra 40-50 lbs might mean a little better frame. Thought process anyway. Not looking for top of the line, js something that can spot me on squats and benches. Kind of limited on what I can do alone. Don't want a gym membership. Due to work schedule and family life it works better for me at home. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Too light. Usually CL or maybe a local gym equipment store could point you where to buy a used one. 100# rack? No way. Additionally, the rails where you rack the weight look flimsy. But, the pics may not do it justice.
Edit: If you lift light it may be ok. If you do any serious weight (>225#), then no f'ing way |

TDS racks are the best bang for buck. With cheaper racks, just make sure they have posts at the bottom/side to store plates. It'll help weigh it down so it doesn't move around. Or if you can, lag the fucker to the ground. I have an old (cheap) Weider that works perfectly fine. You don't need fancy equipment, you just need to know how to use it http://www.newyorkbarbells.com/powerracks.html If not TDS, I'd look into Powertec. I have the massive Powertec multi-station thing; I use it hard 5 times a week. Never had a single problem with it, and that's loading it with 300+. Powertec is quality budget stuff. http://www.fitnessfactoryoutlet.com/store/Power-Racks-Smith-Machines/Power-Racks/ |

What are you using it for? Specifically, I mean. Do you need a rack or would some floor matting and a pair of squat stands do the trick? Quoted:

I think that rack is fiine for what you're wanting. |

Funny thing on the weight.
It is actually heavier then most that I have looked at up to $600 maybe $700 range. Xmark come to mind. Their cage or the one I looked at cost twice as much and weighed something like 57 lbs. That's why I looked at this one, the big weight difference. There are a couple of posters here who own them and say their decent cages But never seen one in person so that's why I'm seeking help here Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Go to DFW Craigslist. search on keywords: olympic and rogue. Filter out all categories except sporting goods, general, and health & beauty. There are several options along with bars, plates, benches, etc. Yes Craiglist is my other addiction!
