| I have cable internet through a small service provider, which advertises 100/5 transfer rate. About once or twice a month the internet comes to a crawl for 2-3 days, but only when connecting through certain spots in the country. For example I live in southern oklahoma, and connecting to anything above the middle of the state (okc, kansas, chicago, etc) give me anywhere from 1-2mbps down and .25mbps up. If I connect to anything below that invisible line I get full speed. Anybody know why that happens and happens so frequently? They obviously wont do anything about it because its outside of their lines so they are not responsible, but its rather irritating to get such slow speeds so frequently when it only happens with this company. |
