Liver? My grandmother makes the best calfs liver with fried onions and gravy that you could ever put a fork into. I would take it over steak anytime but my wife is repulsed by the thought of eating it. Going out to W/PA for some R&R and some rabbit hunting and plan to get 10lbs or so of fresh calf liver from the local slaughterhouse. I think she soaks it in buttermilk and then dredges it in some flour and sautees it. Nothin' like it! |
