Her excuse could be legit but seems kinda flimsy. The project was BS to start with, and I know for a fact she was damn near done but she still wanted to set this study date up. So when she cancelled she said her friend just did the project and helped her finish. And I have a truck, I'm just trying to get by with riding the bus and riding my bike to save 300 for the year. Thats why she gave me a ride |

A little backstory - I graduated college a few years back and now I'm pursuing a second degree. So now I'm in summer school, and I started talking to this girl. Now, this girl is potentially 10 years younger than me. I told her straight up that I already graduated when she was giving me a ride home from campus, and I'm playing the whole thing pretty cool and aloof. We exchanged numbers. So anyway since I'm sooooo old and business savvy, the class we have together is a joke for me. I got myself in the door initially by offering to help her with an excel project - and so earlier this week she sets a day/time and suggests a neutral place. I'm a little surprised she is being so direct but it is refreshing. I say ok. We had class today and afterward she confirms the date, the time, the details, etc. So its game-time, the eleventh hour, and she cancels. WTF is that? Now normally this is a no-brainer and she is not interested, but this seems odd to me. Anyone have this happen? She had "maybe" plans with someone else that panned out. It happens. |

I get that she might not be interested. I have a week invested, so the butthurt is nonexistent. Its the confirming thing that has me confused - if she didn't do that (2 hours before) there wouldn't be as much of an issue. I honestly think something spooked her, like she stalked my FB or something with her friends. |
