I've just travelled large parts of Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee.
Many of the interstate road signs were severely obstructed by foliage.
I am an old guy and never do I recall such poor maintenance of the visibility of interstate signage.

How is the visibility of interstate road signs in you area?

(Were I not driving I would have taken pics.)

States are too broke to have the foliage trimmed back. Hell, they only mow the grass once or twice a season anymore.

Most people use GPS now and no one reads the signs. They're too busy texting.

That picture pretty much sums up all of PA's roads.

AL does a great job on road signs... the interstates on the other hand are horrible in places (cough, I59 outside of Gadsden) and patches of I-20.

Go to Oklahoma. If you come across a smooth stretch of pavement that means a casino is coming up. Once a half mile past the casino back to bumpy roads.

take a good look at the back of the signs. you will notice they are completely visible. this allows the fema cattle truck drivers to see the fema stickers placed on the back of the signs.

you see the freeways and highways will be run under the UN traffic laws(opposite directions of travel). when the one world government launches in the U.S.

the first order of business will be the hauling away of potential trouble makers.

if i were you. i wouldn't complain about the signs.

If the speed limit sign is hidden, does a speed limit exist?

Here in FL they send out crews to wash the signs, don't want you tourists getting lost on the way to spend your money at Mouse Town.

It does here. When you pass a speed limit sign that is blocked you stand a 50/50 chance of passing a cop running radar on that stretch of road.

A local city took ten years worth of gas taxes that were supposed to be used for road maintenance and spend them on the developer who bought the seats in the city council so they could put in $100 million dollars worth of improvements to off-ramps for the developer's warehouses. The stupid voters simply voted for Hispanic sounding names not really knowing more than that. The council made national news when one of them took the biggest single bribe in FBI history. Before that the entire council had their homes and offices raided by federal agents.

So what that city is going to do with pot holes and sign maintenance for the next ten years is a mystery.

Yes. I received a ticket in Illinois for doing 20 mph in a 15 mph zone in a Forest Preserve near Great Mistakes. Every one of the signs had been stolen but one - which was spraypainted flat black. Showed the photos to the judge who was less than impressed as the preserves are there the deer and the antelope range. Pure fooking shake down.

Why let a silly thing like that stop you?

And c'mon now.

Here in Ohio, when the speed limit drops from 50 to 25, we give you A WHOLE TEN FEET between the two signs before you roll up on that carefully hidden local cop.

But you can see all the street signs for miles.

You can see them just fine around Fort Worth when you pass them at full speed because they're right next to the exit you were supposed to take. IMO, Texas should make a new sign that says, "Highway X - make next U turn."

I drive all TN, KY, SC, VA, WV, IN, IL once or twice a year at least, never notice any overgrown signs, cept maybe some derelict billboards.
