Lawn is centipede with a little bermuda.
Got a couple areas that the grass is dying off or getting sparse.

Red wasps are hovering and landing all over these spots.
Watched one closely as he burrowed beneath the dead thatch.
He came up in 30 secs or so with something in his mouth-didn't get a good look..

I'm suspecting army worms and will spray with liquid Sevin.

Ideas/advice??

You should actually investigate and find out what is actually causing the problem.... Not that hard to dig around some grass if its been kept up in any way.
