Makes me want to move west and become a deputy dog somewhere.
Doing a marathon since I am home sick. |

I've watched that show; I had two thoughts:
It's pretty horridly written. The guys that make it have never actually lived anywhere near a place like that. It is what someone from somewhere else imagines it to be. That town doesn't exist, nor anything like it. I know I live here. So if you want to move out here because of that show I would strongly caution you against it. |

Enjoying it. Wife is from central Wyoming. She will probably marathon it in a few weeks. Luckily she does not have many relatives back there - or that program would cost me a vacation house. --- I have only visited her relatives there in the summer. It felt completely like West Texas. Hot, Dry, and green if you add enough water. |

She actually speaks during the show? I hadn't noticed due to the fit of her uniform. ![]() Quoted:

I tried watching it but couldn't get in to it. Katie Sackhoff's acting sucks ass. She was bad in 24 and she's bad in Longmire. She actually speaks during the show? I hadn't noticed due to the fit of her uniform. ![]() This. |

IIRC, more murders in the first season of Longmire than they had in 10 years in all of Wyoming. Quoted:

for such a low population they sure have a lot of murders they solve in 40-minutes. I prefer shows with longer term character and plot development. IIRC, more murders in the first season of Longmire than they had in 10 years in all of Wyoming. If it were set where it's actually filmed, it wouldn't be too far off. |

Very beautiful scenery, including Starbuck. She wears that deputy shirt very tightly It's a good show, the male deputy that is banging his daughter is annoying as hell. I think the 3 of them play off of each other well. Its a great show. I know its shot in NM but I have always wanted to see big sky country, this show makes me want to see it more. |

The writers should have taken Johnson's books and made each one a season of shows instead of butchering them into shitty little 40 minute episodes. They also did a shitty job translating the great dialogue between Walt and Henry to the show. IMO, the first season should have been "A Cold Dish" divided into 10 episodes with Walt carrying Henry off the mountain as a two hour season finale. It would have been awesome. Longmire could have been another Justified but they blew it. |

Fairly decent show IMO. I've read the guy who plays Walt Longmire is an Australian. Covers his accent pretty well. He played Agent Jones (Hugo Weaving's partner) in the Matrix movies. Oh really? |

I like it, need to start reading the books. Read them in order. http://www.orderofbooks.com/characters/walt-longmire/ Note that “Divorce Horse” and “Messenger” are novelettes, around 50 pages. “Spirit of Steamboat” is longer at 160 pages. The rest are full length. Each year Johnson writes a Walt short story and posts it on his blog on Christmas Eve. “Christmas in Absaroka County” is three of those short stories. “Wait For Signs” is supposed to contain all of them, but it won’t be released until Oct. |

The only cop show I've ever enjoyed. WTF! Have you not seen The Shield? THAT.... is the best cop show ever. Tried it, hated it. ETA: hated the wire too. Justified? Don't like it either, the whole show is just a long set up to let the hero shoot someone and say a witty line. |
