Hanna Barbera cartoons are terrible, with the possible exception of Tom and Jerry.  Warner Bros cartoons are fantastic, with Disney a fairly close second.  I don't much care for anime.

What can I say.  I like Miyazaki.
Hanna Barbera's not really that bad.  Tom & Jerry, Scooby Doo, Jonny Quest, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, etc. -- classics.    But they do also have a LOT of junk and stuff that has not aged well at all.  They don't have a lot of new stuff.
Disney is good, but they're fairly one-dimensional.  Wholesomeness and kid-friendliness rules all.  They do have some great stuff, though.  Although a good bit of that they bought from Pixar.
I just really like Miyazaki.  His stuff is so much more than classic American animation.  But American work has started getting a LOT better in the last couple of decades.  Most of those people credit Miyazaki as a major influence.  He's the Shakespeare of animation.

MGM-era Hanna-Barbara--classic Tom & Jerry, Droopy, etc---and early sixties H-B--Jonny Quest, Flintstones, Herculoids, up to first iteration of Scooby-Doo--were great.  Then the seventies happened.  Crappy cheap animation, lackluster designs and bad writing--how many teen-and-animal sidekick detectives and 'baby' versions of existing characters can you have?  Smurfs was their last hurrah, and if you've ever seen the original non-Hanna Barbera Smurfs film you'll have to admit they did an excellent job with the series, the movie is almost unwatchable.

Love the anime.  Spirited Away was just amazing, so much detail.  Like an animated Terry Gilliam film, every little detail on the screen was a tiny treasure.

Disney classic is great but very simple and straightforward.  Too much after 1970 was just riding on the coattails of the previous decades of top work.

So what'd you think?  I've introduced about half a dozen people to that movie, from age 10 to about 35.  They all loved it.

Sorry, anime beats all them all now. If Disney was still able to produce the stuff they did back in the early days (e.g. Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Fantasia), then it might be a different story.
