| How can I start a program from Windows 7 that is installed in XP mode, so that it starts up XP mode at the same time? |

Quoted:
If you're running the program in the XP VM (virtual machine), not compatibility mode, it should create an icon in the Start Menu under the VM's Start Menu folder. You can then copy that icon to the Desktop and it will launch the VM when you launch that program. Unfortunately, the program is so old, it doesn't have an install for it. Just load the files in a directory, then run the executable. I'm hoping there is a property setting that will allow it to do what an install program would do. |

Set compatibility mode there. |
