I have to take medicine daily and one of the side effects is profuse sweating.  I wear lightweight, cool clothing but every day I have the same tormenting problem-- my crotch area is soaking wet and I get jock itch something terrible.  I have tried powders and sprays (particularly Lotrimin anti-fungal spray) but nothing really helps much.  If you know of anything helpful, please let me know what works for you.  It's making me miserable and I need a cure!!  Thanks for any help you can offer me!

I seriously feel bad for you. I wish I could help.

My feet sweat a lot when I'm wearing shoes and I thought that was annoying as shit.

Good luck OP.

Go to the doctor and mention the symptoms of the prescribed medicine?

Go commando. Seriously.

I used to have the same problem. Underwear gets damp and stays damp all day long. Perfect breeding ground for fungus.

Lose the shorts and all will be well.

After you have exhausted medication options, see a dermatologist and see if your insurance will help cover botox.  My issue is not the same as yours, but when EVERY other medication failed to solve the problem despite having lots of side effects, botox worked.  It's expensive.  But it works.

I absolutely do not envy you if you end up having applied to the crotch.  That's going to hurt like a bitch!

ETA:  Seriously, exhaust the medication options first.

Take the doors off
Sprinkle gold bonds on your nuts.
Drive 70mph.

Boxer briefs and original strength Gold Bond, the extra strength might be a little much at first, work up to it

try right guard fresh deodorant  down there, seriously. I put it on in the morning after I get out of the shower, no problems at all during the day

Put a handtowel in your crotch to absorb the sweat
6/7/2014 7:06:52 PM EDT
[#17]
Put antiperspirant in the cracks of your legs. Get some Under Armour boxer briefs. They are treated to prevent stink. And they don't stay wet like cotton. Avoid cotton underwear.

Monkey Butt powder works well too.

OP, you need to purchase Body Glide chafe stick. It looks like stick deodorant and the packaging is grey. I was in a similiar situation when I quit smoking and gained 100 lbs. This product changed my life. You can use this product anywhere also. It will not come off even if go swimming. The more you sweat the better it works.
Rub it between my legs, on my sack, crack of my ass, All body parts just glide by each other.

I'll say it again this product changed my life. You can thank me later.

womens scentless anti perspirant, will work wonders, do not put on broken skin though

Buy a pair of under armor boxer jocks underwear and see if you still have this problem. Make sure to pull them up so they hug your nut sack and touch your crotch area. You want skin to fabric contact everywhere possible.

If you're having problems beating back the fungal infections, you should speak to your doctor about an oral anti-fungal.  They'll probably want to track your liver function while you're on it, but sometimes topicals just won't do the trick and fighting it from the inside is the only way.

Wow, talk about the cure being worse than the disease.  I would have to be in a bad damn way to take medication that made my nads drip with sweat all day and be ate up with crotch rot. What original ailment are you treating?

washing with Hibiclens Antiseptic/Antimicrobial Skin Cleanser will kill bacteria and help with odor. Tea tree oil or tea tree oil soap will kill fungus and stuff, it's very popular for sufferers of athletes feet.

I am a profuse sweater and it was getting to the point where my deodorant wore off too soon. Using the soap doesn't stop the sweating but does keep me fresh.

I am going to have to try this and the boxers. I have had this same problem ever since I can remember and is a huge pain (litteraly(chafing)). Was so bad I used to have to bring another pair of boxers to work to change after lunch.

But one thing, those boxers are pretty expensive. I'm willing to pay any price if it helps (no botox near the "boys" though). Anything cheaper that would work as well? I suppose any polyester boxer should work or is there something more these boxers do?

I may triple up anti-perspirant/body glide/wicking boxers

Thanks, this may the most helpful thread I have found on this site!

Hibiclens Antiseptic/Antimicrobial Skin Cleanser  will help. I wash my pits and feet with it to eliminate odor, it helped tremendously, but not for the genitals according to the label. Maybe try certain dri but not on broken skin
consult with your doctor for options

What works for me is anti-chafe cream or the stick that looks like deodorant. Also boxer briefs made out of the underarmor material.  These options aren't the cheapest but they work for me in this TX heat.

Lol. Co-worker talked his 12 year old brother into doing that. He ran from a tub of cold water to outside in front yard, butt ass naked and drug his ass across the lawn like a dog trying to get it to stop burning. His Dad was not amused and beat his ass.
