Ordered a couple of SG SAs last January before they pulled them from the Web site a couple of weeks after I dropped the order
in the mail. They arrived last week. One is a 6/45 with original barrel, lock bars and a complete matching HRA walnut stock set with 3/8" DAS. Beautiful rifle. |

I got my field grade in the male a few days ago. It came in the mail four days after I ordered it. It helps that I went directly to the CMP store. ![]() Some guy had it up his butt? That ain't cosmoline, friend. |

I've made the 5 hour pilgrimage / road trip to the North Store twice. Worth it both times. Do they still have them at the store at all? If so I'll drive up there and get one or two. This. Planning a trip out that way in September. |

Get a Garand web ammo belt and bayonet. Buy stock in Hodgdon, accumulate brass and hard military style primers (CCI 34 IIRC)
Good bullets shoot mo bettah than generic M2 Ball clones. My M1 allows the big heavy firing pin to bash into the primer on chambering, leaving a decent dent. No one wants a slamfire in an antique .30/06 There are old WWII Garand training films on youtube, waiting for you. |

I wouldn't know, haven't been there since like 2007. I stocked up then and am glad I did. ETA: Looks like the pickings are VERY slim to none because of the backlog of mail orders. http://forums.thecmp.org/forumdisplay.php?f=73 |

Anyone know a cmp club I can sign up for online to order one? Contact The_Beer_Slayer. Dues are $15. ETA: Got my Springfield SG a few weeks ago. It's extremely fun to shoot and very accurate. The bad thing is when I take it to the range everyone wants to finger bang it. Still, I get to pretend I'm killing Nazzis. |

Awesome! Now you can wait all weekend for it.
What did you order? Service grade SA That's what the website said. I sent my order in anyway. I figured they would either decline it or put my name in the queue. |
