Ordered a couple of SG SAs last January before they pulled them from the Web site a couple of weeks after I dropped the order
in the mail. They arrived last week. One is a 6/45 with original barrel, lock bars and a complete matching HRA walnut stock set with 3/8" DAS. Beautiful rifle. |

Get a Garand web ammo belt and bayonet. Buy stock in Hodgdon, accumulate brass and hard military style primers (CCI 34 IIRC)
Good bullets shoot mo bettah than generic M2 Ball clones. My M1 allows the big heavy firing pin to bash into the primer on chambering, leaving a decent dent. No one wants a slamfire in an antique .30/06 There are old WWII Garand training films on youtube, waiting for you. |

I am waiting to build two more Garands. I am waiting for the parts to arrive. Soon I will have six Garands. I can't wait to see them. Have names picked out yet? Mirella and Maria Here's a picture of three Italian Garands wearing barrels. The barrels are all Krieger barrels in .30-06. 
The rifle at the bottom is Mimi. She's now completed. The two rifles at the top are awaiting final assembly. The one in the middle is Mirella. She's a Beretta.
