I'm in Canada for a bit and found a spot with Norinco M14s in stock. My FFL back home is fine doing the Form 6 transfer, and the process looks relatively painless according to the US CBP website. I'm looking for any insight from those who have gone through the process before and a general idea of what you ended up paying in fees as a % of final sale price, as the tariff/duty structure is somewhat confusing for firearms. Did the Form 6 really process in the 4-6 weeks they suggest, or am I looking at a long wait? Canadian CBP will hold the rifle for 30 days while I get the Form 6 processed, but will send it to storage for 60 days, on my dime if I can't get the papers in that time. After the 30 + 60 days, it looks like they consider it to be abandoned and get rid of it. Please correct me if I'm wrong? Thanks!

NVM. Just found the info regarding no Norinco imports.

Oh I don't know, but there have been reports of people finding rifles that could only be found in Canada that happened to be on our side of the border.
