Don't wait for your finances to stabilize. Give me a price. Include shipping. You'll have the money - paypal, cashiers check, money order, Chase InstaPay, cash in an envelope, discrete PMAGS mailed to your neighbor's door in... Nevada...whatever you want.

There is no decent tri-tip in Ohio. You can get close by talking to a butcher (and telling him how to cut it), but it's still not the same.

I'll drop by Costco tomorrow and pick up a couple.  I'll have to find a local dry ice place and a good, insulated container.  Give me a day or two and I'll work up the price and shipping time.

Stuff has gotten pricey.  It's up around $7.50 a pound now.

FWIW, tri-tip isn't common here either (PA), but I have found it in Whole Foods.  Although not in the aisles, they had some hidden behind the counter so you had to ask for it specifically.  $10/lb here.  A local farm sells grass fed for $16

They sell them in either 2 packs or a packer, which usually has 8 tips in it weighing between 16 to 20 pounds.

Shit, that might actually be pricey in a foam Igloo, on some dry ice.

I don't remember if you have Stater Bros. up north but I bought a couple on Friday for $4.99/lb. They sometimes go on major sale for 2.99/lb. That's when the freezer gets filled up.   :-)
