By the time the slide makes it all the way back as captured in the image the bullet is long gone. The bullet is out of the barrel before the barrel even unlocks from the slide early in the recoil cycle. |

Nope The bullet is long gone before the slide even unlocks. In your pic you can see the slide ejecting the brass. |

| Not a bullet. Assuming 1,000 fps, fastest reasonable camera shutter speed 1/1,000th second. Bullet would travel at least 1 foot. The bullet in the pic only went a few inches meaning the bullet is traveling around 5,000 fps or the shutter speed is around 1/5,000th sec. or a little of both. Unlikely. |
