Got a brand new exps-3 1st notice when turned on must manually adjust up brightness to be able to see it, doesn't default back to setting, biggest concern it is good inside, the ring is a little blurry, but in bright sunlight I cannot see it at all. This not my 1st eotech I have an exps-2 and it does none of this. Suggestions troubleshooting? Also tried 2 different batteries. Thanks |

I have an exps2 as well- randomly this past deer season I noticed that as soon as it got bright outside that I could barely see the reticle even with it turned all the way up... It went back for warranty work. Probably around 2k of 308 under its belt at that point.
Eta: your problem sounds exactly what I experienced, so time to send it back |

The ring (IMO) will always be blurry.
The trick is not to focus on the ring, but the dot. The fact that you cannot see the reticle in daylight is the problem. Send it in, or better yet, trade it for an aimpoint T1. I know that makes me an aimpoint fanboy, but I have been an Eotech fanboy for years, until I bought my first T1. eta: my computer makes aim point two words. |

Damn it's brand new 1. It shouldn't be blury 2. Unfortunately you bought a lemon, the turnaround for warranty work was about two weeks for me. I think if I didn't like the reticle so much I'd swap it for an apoint of some sort |

Direct from EOTechs site: Reticle Appears Fuzzy- What you are seeing may be normal. The reticle circle people usually see online or in print advertisements is a graphic representation of a reticle. The reticle is naturally pixelated and the outer circle should appear to be made up of many small dots. The center circle should be distinguishable as one dot. As for being too dim to see outside that's another issue. OP were the batteries that you tried new? Did you test them to make sure they are good? |
