Found out I'm getting a student next year who likes to make accusations against guys
Guess I need to make the spy-cam purchase I've been putting off. Oh well, nature of the job I guess. At least it sounds like the district is aware of the shenanigans. |

I thought you teachers had a union that protects actual molesters. They should be able to to deal with false accusations from a known liar. No Unions in Tx (thank God). I do pay each year for membership in a teacher's association that offers legal defense. |

My recommendations 1) Never be alone with her if you can avoid it. Ask a female coworker to be with you if possible. If not, see about having the door open. 2) If you are an advisor, start a new policy about recording the sessions - and inform each student that you will be recording. Claim that it's so both of you can reference the "advice". email a copy to the student, and save a copy for yourself. and of course this means said student can't claim something "happened" because you have proof. 3) ask your district for advice. also keep in mind, just because she's made accusations doesn't necessarily mean they're false. consider that too. if anything, having a female college with you, or a recording of the session may also put her at ease |

Force them to train you and then force them to train you some more. My sister-in-law is an attorney for a school district. Find the person for your district who's in her equivalent position and start bugging the shit out of them for clarification. Be that little kid who can't quit asking his mom why. Any and every little off-the-wall curiosity should be emailed to them for written guidance. Do the same to your administrators. Also, cameras. Buy a few and make sure they work. |

I spent two years working with profoundly disabled Sp.Eds in middle school. It's a brutal environment. |
