So my awesome sister went to Holland, MI with my brother in law and nephew for the weekend and came back and got me some Timbits.

I've heard Tim Hortons is awesome and the Timbits are awesome.  Wish we had some around here. CSB I know.

I still like Tim Horton' doughnuts best, and timbits (doughnut holes for the rest of you) are their best item, but I grew up in America's Hat.

Hey Lahey, make a run down to Horton's for the boys.

I hit Timmy Ho's every day I work in the office. I usually go for the bacon and egg breakfast wrap, but the TimBts Are tasty and they give free ones to dogs in he vehicle. If you say TimBit in my house, my dog starts looking.

My little brother worked at Timmy Ho's in Buffalo, was shuffled around from one location to another.  Everyone right up to the management was in love with high school style drama shit, so he quit. I haven't been to one in years, though it's nice to see them becoming popular again.

Tim Hortons is something I look forward to every time I have a trip to Canada.  I would love to open up some franchises here, but I don't have the dough...

I still prefer Dunkin Donuts over Hortons. Too much undeserved hype amongst Horton loyalists (just like with Krispy Kreme years ago).

DD is just good, and low key.

Yes.  Canned also, metal.  I buy it for home.

Their donuts are ok but nothing like donuts from our local cider mill or bake shops.

Yes, local shops tend to be better because in order to compete and survive, they need to put out a superior product

Listening in on the recent Hortons conference call the CEO said their expansion future is in the U.S. They want to open 1000 new U.S. franchises as the Canadian market is saturated

Quit going to the one at 161 and 62... Worst Tim's ever.

The one on Sunbury is a good one with fresh food, I hit it every morning on my way to work for a cup of joe and a bagel.

I'll go against the great Timmy Ho's with a resounding 'meh'. The coffee is tasty but not awesome and the price keeps sneaking up with each passing year. The donuts are simply reheated in store from frozen and they taste like it. These alone wouldn't sink the franchise for me but the long lines and lackluster service I find time and again have driven me away. Granted, I've made a point of visiting locations that wowed me (the one in Slave Lake, AB in particular) but 99% of the time I go to McDonald's for a cup of Jo. Tastes great, no line for it and every 8th one is free.

I have posted this before, but fuck it I am bored tonight...

I worked at a place that made Tim Horton's coffee extract for some drink they sell. Talking about 80K gallons at a time, we would run that God awful extract 3 days straight. It was shipped in half gallon bags with six bags per box, and when a bag leaked I was one of the guys that got to tear open the pallet of boxes and find the leaker.

To this day when I hear Tim Hortons I can smell that extract. You couldn't get that smell off your hands or uniform no matter what....

That's the stuff used to make Tim's famous "Iced Capp'. One pouch mixes into about five gallons of water and is run through a slurpee machine. It is mixed with about a half cup of coffee cream, blended and served. When I worked at Tim's, we would go through gallons of the shit during a hot weekend. Sold so fast that the two machines we had couldn't keep up with demand. You're right about the smell, though.

Yeah that is the stuff. 1/2 gallon extract mixed with 5 gallons of water tells you how damn potent that shit was.

Me either. Of course, my only experience with Tim Horton's is one in Afghanistan. By God though, the sugar coma on Sunday was worth it. The coffee was excellent too.

Come to Northern Maine.  Bad service is the only service at our local Tim's - both of them.

Edit - Actually we might have the only Tim's where a murder took place...
