Are you talking about ONE vehicle that Toyota makes?
I have a 09 Scion xD and my son an 06 xA. Not one single problem with either of them, nothing. My neighbor's Chevy truck has had six recall notices so far. One design flaw and the whole brand is garbage, must be GD.

When I brought my tundra in for the recall inspection I drove behind the dealership and there were some frames piled out back. I still wouldn't buy another us/uaw truck. My tundra is 10years old with 70k miles (50k I drove in the past 18 months ) it was in the shop once for the 4wd locking up, and regular maintenance. Still rides like a new truck, my ford was a rattletrap by 100k.

My Fj has 90k+ miles on it, only thing to go bad was the alternator at 86k miles. Zero complaints about it I've had zero problems with my FJ, I've had it since 2006 (2007 model year) The last Chevy (CK1500 4WD) was a lemon. The previous Toyota I owned, first model year 4Runner, was awesome and I put 200K miles on it with zero problems. |

Our Sienna minivan was junk. Built on the Camry platform. The Camry is a good car. But when Toyota kept key components the same (brakes, drivetrain...), and increased the size/weight by 50%, bad things resulted. I'm still a long time Toyota fanboy. The Sienna was an exception. |
Ha ha ha. This is the thread in which those who own a piece of shit Ford/Dodge/Chevy and are wrought with envy expose themselves by attacking something that they don't have for whatever reason...financial, poor decision, stubbornness, stupidity, etc....
That said, my 2010 Taco is nowhere near the reliable specimen that my 2001 was...still far superior to the turds mentioned above though. 286k miles on the 01 and sold it for $6k cash...120k on my 2010, and other than the door lock actuators going bad, it's still great. |

Can only speak from experience -
I've had a series of Toyota's over the past 30 years. In fact, with 2 exceptions (two ill advised forays into American Made trucks) Toyotas are all I've owned during that time. I bought most used, and drove all of them to, or nearly to 200,000 miles. With the exception of regular, preventative maint they were never in the shop. I'd call that a win. |

I argued that was the case when the stories on that broke...I had IT guys here telling me I was stupid...and herpity derpity..because they "know" software. |

Actually there's an extended warranty for air pumps. I should know, I did one a couple weeks ago. I'll have to look but IIRC they extended it to 100k or 150k miles. |

If you get something built in the U.S., including Toyotas, you deserve whatever you get. My rule of thumb is don't buy a Toyota that didn't come from Japan or a Ford or Chevy that didn't come from Canada. And don't buy dodge period. |

Truth Rare is it that a Japanese built Toyota has issues. Land Cruisers, 4Runners etc... and most Lexus offerings. When I have done PDI inspections on new cars I can tell you if it's an American made Toyota or a Japanese made one without ever looking at the VIN. Subaru's are great quality as well. |

I have been treating my 87' 4Runner like shit ever since I got it 6 years ago. I was really bad about oil changes for a good portion of that. Had it in the shop a few times, but it always goes and has never left me stranded unless I was at home, And that is usually only during really bad winters.
I don't know about new Yotas but these old bastards just don't die. |
