True story as well.

Breaker was made a "scapegoat for the Empire"

Kit Denton IIRC wrote a great version of the events. The English were the first to use "concentration camps"
during this conflict.

Side note:  Edward Woodward  the actor had taken riding lessons for the part. He took lessons in England then went to Australia for filming.
Once on location the Australians who did the horse scene's asked Edward to demonstrate his riding abilities. You see in England due to weather
all of his lessons were in indoor arena's.

Edward mounted his horse and preceded to ride in circle as was done in the arenas. The Australian's said "Mr. Woodward your riding style is
suburb but CAN you ride in a straight line?".

Brian Brown again with the ANZAC's, but in Vietnam.

Haven't seen it in about 10 years, but I'll have to see if it's on netflix.
