Got one over the weekend, as I'm a big Nespresso fan (I have two of their espresso machines.) The new VertuoLine machine and coffees are amazing.
If you are a coffee snob but still like the convenience of a pod machine, this thing is king. And yes, I do have other less convenient but properly snobbish methods of preparing coffee, i.e. french press and my own grinder, etc. so no lectures about the horrors of machines. Anyways, just a PSA.

Only machine that ever wowed me taste-wise was a Jura all-in-one at a rich uncle's house. I was there with my dad and we were both impressed. I was all set to go in with my sisters and get one for my dad for father's day, but I underestimated the price just a bit.
But it makes a very impressive cup of coffee. |

Yeah, I'd never seen or heard of one and was thinking it might be $600 or so, and while that's not our usual budget for gifts, it would be a nice gift for a good man who's hard to buy for. But, like I said, I was just a wee bit off in my guestimate. |
