What kind of dumb shit is this?  Saw the commercial, went to the website to see what it was about.

It's a rental car for $69 a day.  Who the hell would buy into that shit?

They are getting one at my college. They charge a upfront free then a hourly fee with a max usage. Good for kids who don't own a car or whatever.

You can rent by the hour with convenient pick up and drop off locations.  Probably makes sense for people living in or traveling frequently in cities.

I've never needed a car for an hour or two, just rent a car for a day for under $50 and call it good.  Hell, they'll even bring the car to you.

I guess there are people who only need a car for an hour, or the place wouldn't exist...

This is nothing new.

This is awesome for city folks who don't have a car.

you need to watch all the vids on the site to understand how much more convenient this is. Its cheaper than a taxi across NYC.

I'm not going to try and convince you it's a good idea for you.   You asked who would buy into it and the fact is there's a lot of people for whom it's a good deal.

It's also turn-key, including gas, the bane of the rental car experience.  Well, one of them anyway.

Its also done here in Columbus. I'm not sure how popular it is.

It's cool if it works for people, I just don't get it.  When I travel, I rent a car...I don't like to wait for a taxi and don't want to look for a car.

I think the cost is high because it has to include liability and collision insurance and has to assume that the renters do not have their own insurance to begin with since the latte sippers who use the service probably don't own a car to begin with.

It's geared towards people who live in the city and don't own a car, but need one occasionally.  They are all over the DC area.
