So it's Easter Sunday and I just flew into Seattle, WA. I'm here for 24 hours and need something to do. Where to get good coffee (I know... it's Seattle) and some place to eat.
Sights to see? I do have a rental car so I can venture far and wide.

Strippers and coffee? Head South to Portland

If you can get to the Acropolis Steakhouse in Portland (nasty as hell on the outside but nice inside), $8  for  8oz ribeye, baked potato, garlic bread and salad bar........No joke, best $8 meal I've ever had......

If it's crappy weather, drive to the east side of the Cascades and go to Paradise or Sunrise at Mt. Rainier.  The sun should be out.

Drive around the south end of Puget Sound up to Port Townsend, make stops at interesting spots along the way.  Take the ferries back to Mukilteo.  Or drive up to Anecortes Island, Or drive over to Roslyn.  Or go down to Rainier.

If you don't mind spending some cash to make it a memorable day...you could go have a nice Easter brunch at the Salish Lodge at Snoqualmie Falls.  Then head to downtown Seattle and go see Pike Place Market, then maybe a ferry ride to Bremerton & back.  You get to see some mountains & forest, downtown Seattle & the waterfront, and Puget Sound from the ferry boat.

That's a doable full day.  I think that would be a nice way to spend Easter.

Est cost:  $150

Downtown?  Pike place, eat the fish & chips and crab cocktail at the stand a few doors down from starbucks.  Have coffee at LePanier.  Have baklava at the greek place on the way to LePanier.

Get some hybrid apples at the fruit stand next to the fish and chips joint.
