That's really cool. Sharing data and setup info is awful nice of them. Being in the paddock during pro races you would think some of the teams are guarding nuclear secrets. I always enjoyed sharing data and discussing the track with other drivers. So my teammate may be faster than me in turn one, but I may faster in turn ten. We would look at the data to see what each other were doing, then go back out and both go faster. The real mind-boggling part is when the computer would show you your fastest possible theoretical lap based on your best segment times from various laps put together into one lap. You are like "no way I can go that fast" and the computer is like "you already did, but not all in the same lap. Now put it all together." |
