This is my humble, very humble, dinner picture thread. As a preface, unfortunately, I am not allowed a grill or smoker due to my apartment complex rules, so I have to make due with what is available.


On Friday around noon, I decided I wanted to make the pork shoulder in my freezer for dinner tonight. Last night around 2130 local, I trimmed the skin and added a rub to sit overnight.

This morning around 0700 local, the shoulder went into the 7 quart Crock Pot along with an onion, garlic, jalapenos and sea salt.

It barely fit


12 hours later, everything comes out of the Crock Pot. The bones fell away with no assistance.

The final product is pork, onion and jalapeno over a baked red potato with a side of steam veggies. Beverages include Victory Storm King Stout and Bell's Special Double Cream Stout.

Not nearly as fancy as others, but it was still delicious!

Normal crock pot, the clamps are there so the lid won't fall off during transport, like for a tailgate.
