Funny you should mention that. This is TargetTarget's Schluger. ( Schmoe Luger conversion) It cost $31,000 to build. http://i641.photobucket.com/albums/uu138/Fluffy9lives/Sickening.jpg Quoted:

I am jelly, did you sign up your pets for Zerocare? No, I signed Bimba Bulldog up for Trupanion. She has a great healthcare plan. Should she ever need massage therapy she is even covered for that. I would never take any chances. She has the best plan on the market today. |

The monstrosity is called a "Schluger". It is a schmoed out Luger. It also consists of a schmoed out Walther GSP. Anyway, the reason why someone would build such a thing is that without opening one's mouth, one could be readily identified as an idiot. But it would be cheaper to get a custom t shirt made. One that says, "I am an idiot" |

I've got a Finnish Luger still chambered for 7.65 Parabellum. Is there any source for ammo? I've only ever seen a couple boxes at a gun show. Starline makes the brass. Sierra makes 85 grain bullets. I load them using Unique powder and it works like a charm. |

As a collector I have two, 1938 S/42 shooter grade, and a near mint 1939 S/42 police. The Swiss 1929 Luger is the collectible pistol that one can actually shoot. I didn't try mean that they were not collectible sorry. Lugers are a collecting field that Is very vast with much to learn. I stick with the WW2 ones, that's the area I like. With most C&R I have. BTW very nice Luger, |

Quoted:At some point almost everyone wants to own a Luger. I've never known anyone who has expressed an interest in owning a Luger. Ever. I believe I've posted my desire for owning one someday. I almost had a trade worked out for one back around 1984, but the owner backed out because his father had captured it and he thought his mother would be upset if he traded it for something more useful for home defense, like a Browning Hi Power. |

BTW very nice Luger, Not to worry. No offense was taken. Swiss Model 1929 Lugers are less collectible than German Lugers. And that is part of the reason why Swiss Lugers are so good. There are many unscrupulous folks around who make a dishonest dollar by faking Lugers. Many unwary folks buy reblued Lugers or Lugers that have been messed with. The Swiss Luger had a plain finish and it was never a super high dollar collectible. There's less reason to reblue or to stamp fake markings on a Swiss Luger. So when you find a good 1929 Swiss Luger, you are almost certain to get an original pistol that has not been messed with. You are also getting probably the most accurate of all the Lugers. And finally, Swiss Lugers never saw the rigors of combat or corrosive ammo. So in summary, the Swiss Luger buyer is getting the best value for his Luger dollar. He is also getting a collectible pistol that can be used without worry |
