I have this thread posted in Urban Commandos but I know that GD gets a lot more traffic. Any help is appreciated. I desperately need this program running for work.

Dude, boot camp loads generic drivers for windows, it's not meant for programs like Solid Works. I wouldn't even try to run Maya on that. Ive got Solid Works on three other iMacs running bootcamp, none of which I personally own so I can't take them home. They are shop computers. All of them work flawlessly with zero problems for months now. This one craps out after a week. Im just at my wits end. I have no idea what to do and I don't have the disposable income for something that might work. But if its a guaranteed fix then I have no problem with it. |

whatever I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean. I'm just looking for help. I know next to nothing about computers and this Mac I bought has the computing power for the right price. If I was to go buy a PC with this computing power, that is this fast, I would spend $1200. $1200 I don't have. I'm just learning Solid Works and need all the help I can get to get it running. |

Time to lock this troll thread, he is using Macs, and as we all know Macs "just work", so trouble with one is impossible, and only Windows machines have problems. Wow you were tons of help and can just see into my life like a 1-800-PSYCHIC. Thats not what I'm getting at. And that's not what Im implying. I'm very new to Solid Works and designing for a new company, trying to make ends meet for me and my wife. I just need help getting this program running and didn't have the money for a top of the line PC. I was steered in the direction of a Mac because our other 4 Macs at the shop work. This one doesn't. |

Just saw your ETA. Sorry if I come off as a little butthurt sissy. I just have no idea what to do and am trying to get this to work. I'm already severely behind at work. Just a little overwhelmed at the moment. I lost most of my drawings when bootcamp crashed. |
