Anyone ever been to this ART/FREAK show? It is in August, just North of Reno, NV. I have searched the rules extensively and it says nothing about guns being banned on the BLM property. As you might guess, open carry is VERY legal in Nevada. Anyway, people at the event are encouraged to "Make their own place" there if they do not find a "community" that is "right" for them. I SAY WE ALL GO THERE AND MAKE A GUN COMMUNITY. Keep in mind, these are all the freaks from San Francisco, and Im guessing that they dont care for guns. Just to let you guys know there are guns there (unloaded mostly). They are carried buy a group called the post masters or postals. Anyway its a bunch of guys and gals walking around with rifles and shotguns. They kinda enforce the law but not really. Anyway I think you can find some photos of them on the burning man website. Nothing wrong with going to a large party naked and on drugs with firearms. Thats how I spend my weekends anyway. [;)] |

I've been to burning man twice. It will blow your minds, my friends. You don't even need drugs because the shit you see there is like you are already halucinating. I was camped next to the Unimog group. 4-5 Unimogs all lined up and all the owners playing brass instruments wearing German uniforms. Surreal. The early ones allowed guns and there was a lot of night shooting. Since then they have to be outlawed because of insurance rules. The insurance alone on the event costs more than 1 million dollars, paid in advance. |

No firearms. The possession of firearms or ammunition within Black Rock City is prohibited. Neither our campground nor the greater playa is suitable for recreational shooting. The weather there can be REALLY bad that time of year with 40-60 mile an hour winds - not the best for shooting. It is a freak show and there's nothing about hanging around with a bunch of doped up idiots that is attractive to me. |
