I have lots of guns now that I am old. I have no 22s though. I have been thinking of getting one. My first ever rifle was a winchester 190. I had to sell it when I went in to the Navy in 1968. Should I get another one? I am tempted. John

a .22 is a must have. I have as much fun with my .22 as i do with anything else. My 10/22 can be a tack driver if i want to get serious, or a blaster if i want to play.

Everybody should have at least one .22, and a 10/22 is probably the best all around one you can get.

Ruger 10/22 ... get yerself one man.

I have one stainless/ synth stock.

and another cut down for my sons.

Guns - you guys own Guns?! I don't own any Guns - not me, I'm completely pacified and don't own anything at all - especially a 10/22! The government frowns on Gun ownership and the 10/22 is the most evil of all. I don't think that anyone here really owns any Guns - we just like to talk about them.[smoke]

My first rifle was also a Win 190. Got it as a kid. There are still some to be forun in very good shape. At the last gun show I went to in Dallas,Market Hall, there was one there for $125.00.... fullclip

You went in the Navy in 68 and you consider yourself old?! My old man went into the Army in 49 and He's just getting old. BTT. Yes, get a nice lever action .22 that shoots Shorts, Longs or Long Rifles. I highly recommend the Winchester 9422 XTR.

AR15 22LR SBR, Ruger 22/45, and a suppressor that fits both - accurate, very quiet, and loads of fun (works good with an M16 lower, too).
