Post what you have given away or received from the Craigslist free stuff section.

An old fridge.

Since I was giving it away for free I stressed how important it was for the party picking it up to bring a friend because I wouldn't help with loading. Guy shows up to pick the fridge up, with no friends and he's missing an arm. I take one look at him and say "let me go get my hand truck." I was mad at the time but now I laugh about it.

I gave away a working big old school tv and a bunch of 40 gallon vehicle propane tanks . The TV went to the second guy as the first one was a douche bag . Pro tip don't be a douche and want free shit . The propane tanks was the same . The ad said you load and haul . Guy showed up with a Buick and acted like he wanted me to help . These were 5 foot long and about 16 inches in diameter  . One guy inquired then acted like I was forcing him to take one. He was confused by free . He did not get one .

I advertised an oak desk for "free".
I had a doctor email me numerous times wanting to know the price. He actually got upset when I wouldn't tell him the price.
My last reply was "...I guess reading comprehension is not required in med school???..."

A guy and his wife running a tow truck shop came and got it.

I cleaned out a rental property. My renter left an HD projection tv. Fearing roaches, I put a free stuff curb alert on craigslist. It was gone in an hour.

I warned the lady to spray it first

I helped my dad remove his old storm doors and he asked if I could haul them to the dump for him.  I said "watch this, I'll have them gone within the hour."  I pulled out the phone and took a couple of pics and put them on CL for free.  I had calls within 15 minutes and they were gone within 30 minutes.

I bought an old worn out montgomery wards lawn tractor with no deck for the engine.  I put the rest on CL for free, people were calling for hours after I took the add down and were pissed that they didn't get it.

I put my old broken down riding mower and I hat about 10 emails in 2 damn minutes. I told the first guy to come get it and emailed the rest that it was gone. He picked it up in less than an hour and I pretended I was not home.

20 year old dishwasher.  Guy shows up in a miata convertible and takes it.  Old makeup dresser and recliner in pretty rough shape.  100+ bricks that I dug up in my back yard.  In each case, they were gone within 3 hours of me putting the add up.

I'm still waiting on that pissed off future ex wife. That is getting rid of all her cheating husband's guns, tools, and other toys just to piss him off.

I knew a guy that knew a guy that knew another guy that it happen to. I was just pissed cause I didn't see the ad.

Long story short the ex wife of that guy gave away a Harley, all his tools, and few other thing he had.

That cinder block ad has been my favorite for a long time.

Year or two back, one of the bosses walked by my department and mentioned that there were some overhead lights at our bodyshop/used car building that he needed gone and that I was the man for the task.  Drove over to take a look.  Snapped some potato pictures of the big round cans and stuff.  We're talking Weber grill sized pots.  Posted the ad at 9am for free light fixtures and that the first one to show, got them.  Had to turn my phone off an hour later as I was getting so many calls, I couldn't get my regular work done.  Some 17 year old kid and his dad/grandfather showed up with some run down Dodge Caravan and packed it to the roof.  Had to make 2 trips, LOL.

Horse manure. Lots and lots of horse manure I posted up for free on craigslist a couple years ago (spring, gardens etc) . Free bobcat loading too.

Worst mistake I ever made.  You should have seen the people that came and just as bad the vehicles they expected me to load. And oh God, I realized I just told all these people where I lived.

Never...ever again. I bought the field next door and so the manure goes there nowadays.

I frequently try to find the most random, useless crap I can and post it on free section to see if someone will take it. So far I have given away:

a rake with only half the tines
a garden trowel that was bent
a bunch of old bricks covered with concrete
a bent dustpan for a garage
a garbage can with no lid
about 3 feet of weed paper
an old tire that had wire hanging off it
a book shelf that was broken on one side
a hide-a-bed missing a cushion.

Pretty much I use craigslist as a garbage can, except instead of me taking the garbage out, someone comes and gets it for me.

I just give all my free shit to my parents neighbor, he'll take anything working or not. My parents gave him an old lazy boy, an old air compressor, and I gave him a tv. Its way cheaper than paying the dump.

I bought a whitetail cape mount at a yard sale for 15$. I didn't want to keep when I moved this summer, so I put it on CL for free under the threat I was "going to throw it away if no one takes it by Thursday". It was gone the next morning.

I'd never post anything for free unless if put in no email and just a approximate address with the item standing next to the road.... that would be about as far as I go with free posts.

On the other hand, just put anything on the curb and it disappears in 30 minutes flat, no need to do free posts.

I tried to give away a crib once.  A few people emailed me but never came.   I put up another ad for it with a price of $40.  It sold in a couple of days.

I don't even bother with CL. I just put stuff at the curb and it disappears.
Old water heater: gone in an hour.
Old aluminum siding off of a truck box: gone in an hour.
Old storm windows: gone in three hours.
Old lumber from remodeling projects: gone within a day.
Old aquariums: gone in two days.
Only yard debris isn't salvaged, and the county takes that away.

I had a shit load of old 2x4's and made a post that was clear with photos and noted that ANYONE coming must take them ALL.
Took the first email. I talked to her on the phone, told her she must take them ALL.  (I was out of town at the time and just told her my address)

The cunt came and picked through them and left about 1/2 which were all the dirty, shitty ones. I was so pissed. If I knew where she lived, I would have dumped them in her yard.

Just picked up 3 tops from wooden spools.   One was 4', another 6' and another 5' that was had 1/3 cut off.  Rhetorically 6' will become a table on the patio.  The guy also had 4x4 sheets of drywall that I will use down the road.

Last week i got a bunch of deck wood that I am using to build a chicken coop.  Just need to find some corrugated metal foe the roof.

Don't use craigslist to get rid of useable stuff I don't want to deal with- just set it out by the dumpster at work- most everything is gone within an hour- TVs, furniture etc.

an old steel tub -- picked up by a meth-y looking woman.  Won't do anything scrap metal again.

used concrete form boards, not cleaned after use.  Told the guy the deal was if he wanted the whole boards he also had to take all the partials and scrap.  he took it all!!!

old Craftsman radial arm saw, worked fine.  dozens of calls within minutes of posting.

similar stuff...

I see where you're coming from, but most of those people sit and stare at the CL free section all day long and go to hundreds of houses per year. They probably couldn't care less who you are or what your address is--they just want to beat other FSA to your free crap.

gigantic busted window AC unit laying in our yard when we bought the house
all over the ad I stated how heavy this pile of crap was
im a big guy and this thing ate my lunch to get it out of there lol
who shows up?
a tiny crackhead lady in a 2 door car

this thing is covered in dirt and leaking stale water out all over and she wants it
the asshole in me wanted to pull up a chair and watch her wrestle this thing for a few hours
but I wanted her gone so I loaded it for her. ruined the seat in that car for maybe $10 in scrap

you might want to sell your random gun junk you know all that crap you bought and dont know why you keep?
piled up in the closet maybe? I piled it up took a pic and listed on a local FB gun group made a few hundred in a few hours
