[flame suit] No such thing as a Pre-Ban Mini 14 unless you have a GB model or you can prove you had it in assault weapon configuration before the ban & good luck, the proof IS on you because it is not a weapon that was affected by the ban. The serial # list you are looking for means nothing. [/flame suit] I laugh every time I see an ad in the paper advertising a "preban mini 14" for a premium price. Ask the guy who is selling it if it has a suppressor, folding stock, bayonet lug. He will say NO but its still a preban. LOL what fools.

You don't. If you want to avoid any possible trouble. Your a few years too late. The solution is to get a GB or a verifiable Preban AR. Many people put on the folders. But if you are asking for good advice, I would say dont do it. If it does not look like this then I would say not to put a folder on it. This is a GB model and it came from Ruger just like you see it. note the factory bayo lug and suppressor.

Look closer it has a FACTORY lug & suppressor. the serial would have to be in the pre sep 94 range. Here is a pic of mine.
