| Does anyone have an audible membership? Is it worth the money? Do you have any audio book recommendations? |

Subscribing to 2 "credits" a month gets you most titles at about $11 a pop (1 credit per title). It's cheaper than most anywhere including costco except for close out sales. Go for what you like to read. We used to be on the road a lot and listened to lots of titles. Added an ipod interface to the Magnum to make audiobooks easier - you don't want to have to burn cd's. If you have a kindle with wifi and audio capability you can download any of your purchased titles from most any wifi hot spot.
I'll secure my spot in geekdom by admitting to owning all titles in the WOT (R Jordan's "Wheel of Time") series as well as those in EE Knight's "Vampire Earth" and Butcher's "Dresden Files"... Nick |

Great service and good company.
I have used them for over 10 years now (started back when you had to burn the books on CD.) I have had the 24 books for $229.50 plan during most of that period. They offer use 2 credits and get one credit free from time to time. They also have offerings that have 3 books on one purchase for one credit. Because of all of this, I have over 300 books in my library right now I feel that it is well worth it IF you cannot get the audio books free from your library. |
