How in the cock suckin motherfuckin hell is this this cum guzzling worthless
piece of whore baiting shit still on TV? You can't tell me this is a popular program anymore. |

Everyone thinks THEIR era of SNL was the good one.
You're all wrong. I assure you. Go back and watch the entire episodes. Not the best ofs, the whole things. It's always been about 10-20% funny and 80-90% godawful. Your memory has failed you. Ackroyd and Belushi were good, Eddie Murphy was good, will ferrell was good, chris farley was good, mike Meyers was, but recently even Bill Hader and andy Samberg have done good work. None of the women have been funny ever. And fwiw I think tonight's might have been in the top five worst I've ever seen, and I've watched since the first season. |

I'll agree with most of that, but Kristen Wiig is hilarious. Pretty much all of her sketches were good, and she's good in movies too. |

She was hilarious in bridesmaids, but her sketches were all one note over and over again. |

it's sucked since the original not ready for prime time players left. anyone after that era, with very few exceptions has sucked balls. and as one poster said, not all of it is funny. there are good bits and bad bits, and for quite a while now, propaganda bits.
and, on an unrelated note, FUCK DAVID LETTERMAN!!! fucking self important liberal douche... |

She was as hillarious as any of them, and quite often, carried skits that were dogs with her own improv. She was a comedic artist, and a damn good one. Jane Curtain...not so much, but was an excellent actor. Back then the writers were good, and the cast was excellent. It's a two part deal. Any actor can be funny as hell with good material. It takes a gifted comedien to carry shitty writers. It's been a long time since either were complimentary to the task, and the show has been sucking more and more, as the writers have become more polarized and politically correct. Bill Hader is every bit as talented as Akroyd or Eddie Murphy, most of the time though, he was stifled by the shit writers. He's going to explode off the show. I still watch out of habit, and hoping the show picks up again. |

I got in last night and was thing the same thing, switched over to CSPAN and watched Ann Coulter bash Dems. I didn't know she looked like a fucking scarecrow until just last night. |

I can't even count how many dumb assholes liberals laughed about how they voted for FBH0 because it was so silly to run "that dumb bitch" as VP who says she can see Russia from her house. I tried to explain it to the first few that it was a bit by Tina Fey, NO, I SAW HER SAY IT, I SAW THE WORDS COME OUT OF HER MOUTH. I just gave up, I smile when I hear it now. |

None of the women have been funny ever. This is because women comedians, in general, tend not to be very funny (though some are, they are few and far between). Most female comedians just talk about their menstrual cycle or their boyfriend, and that material isn't really that funny (especially to men, who usually are the ones buying tickets for a date night out with their girlfriend to see a comedic act). Also, for SNL it's a double edged sword for female comedians because they have to be a) be funny, and b) fit the prototypical Hollywood female attractive mold (unless you are the token fatty female comedian who is the brunt of fat jokes/skits). This usually means Hollywood favors the latter of these factors, versus the former. Edited to add - in for the butt hurt due to my male chauvinist claim about female comedians |

Joe Ducet, is that you?

Yes, but it just stuck out out as the worst just now. Haven't watched in years, stuck in hotel room. Trust me, I grew up with Belushi,Ackroyd, Murphy. Quoted:

I don't remember all the political bias bullshit back in SNL's glory years. Perhaps that was a key to their success-- actual comedy. Now it seems like a sycophantic puppet show with the cast desperately trying to prove they are "one of them." SNL did have a pretty good resurgence in the 90's with Meyers, Carvey, Hartman, Farley, Miller, Spade, Ferrell, and Sandler. The only thing to make me laugh in the last 10 years was Sandburg and Parnell's Narnia bit. |

About halfway thru this crap I started watching a movie instead. Even the musical guests suck most of the time. I've been watching since the first episode and they really suck now. |

I watched it a ton in the 90's. For each episode.. there was maybe 2 good skits. Weekend Update was usually funny. |

She was one of the best, male or female. SNL has survived on the memory of the old shows and has been defined as "hip" by our culture so a lot of people just follow along. |
