Hmm...Just went to [url]news.google.com[/url] and plugged in "D.C. Sniper". The most recent story is on one of the victims and it's 2 days old. Some "hard news" on the trial was posted 3 days ago (and are from very small markets). Not very conclusive but it would seem that the big media outlets have dropped this story like the plague. |

Why make a big deal about it? They have black drug dealers and gangsters killing people every day. It's not news worthy [rolleyes]....... As Maynard said: If it was some white guy from Ohio, we'd here about it EVERY day until they went to jail, then every other day until they were executed. Then every third day afterwards. |

Devoting "valuable" air time with boring items such as court hearings and arraingments don't make for good TV news. No one is going to tune into that sort of thing. The body count and blood soaked sheets covering dead bodies not "artist depictions" from Federal court are what draws viewers. |

What else do I want? Groups of people are working to ban the type of rifle they used, which happens to be my favorite type of fire arm, and I am interested in the case for that reason. | Not a hijack attempt, but has anyone ever actually seen a pic of the rifle they used? I've yet to see it laying on a table like they usually do. I'd also like to know what type of ammo they were using so that I can stock up on it as its sure to be banned soon. |

1. They are old news 2. The murderers are black, thus significantly decreasing the amount of ink that will be spent on covering the story...lest the sensitivities of the masses be inflamed. Now...if these dudes had been card-carrying members of some white supremacist militia...then buckets of ink and hours of air time would be spent on the story. On the other hand...forget the militia bit...just being white would have been reason enough. 3. Trent Lott's big mouth is a MUCH hotter story, because if the Democrats, ably assisted by their willing accomplices in the mainstream media are successful in bringing Old Knee In The Mouth down, his seat will likely be filled by a Democrat, one Mike Espy of Clinton Secretary of Agriculture fame. In fact, I predict that even if the shooting war starts tomorrow in Iraq, Lott's racism and bigotry story stays page one - above the fold.
